Together Liverpool - April newsletter

Spring is filled with hope and we are delighted to share this bulletin with exciting news of social justice activities across the Diocese of Liverpool.

Firstly, we invite you to attend an on-line gathering for churches to find out about running community gardens on church land, which we are co-hosting on May 11 with Feeding Liverpool and Faiths for Change.

We encourage you to support the Plenty To Share campaign calling for sustainable solutions to tackle food waste and food poverty, which we are a signatory to. Also a reminder there are still places available to attend our Covid Cash Course on Thursday April 29, and that we are taking applications from churches for our Feast of Fun grants and Make Lunch sponsorship scheme.

We are delighted to share a Radio interview with our Trustee Hilary Russell about her social action work, after being honoured with an award form the Archbishop of Canterbury, and to share a video from our friends St Andrew's Community Network about their year responding to the pandemic.

Please read the full newsletter to find out about grants of up to £2,500 being offered to organisations working to improve health and wellbeing in Sefton, and about taster days for churches to learn about parenting programmes offered by Christian charity Kids Matter.

Finally a call for submissions of photographs celebrating examples of the Spirit at work in our community, from Churches Together in the Merseyside Region, for an enriching Pentecost service.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.
