Workshops, Training & Events
Our Network of Kindness workshops, training and events bring together faith and community groups to connect and share learning about social action.
These are offered freely to people of all faiths and none, as part of our mission to help equip church, faith & community groups to take their next step in social action.

Workshops & training
Each session focuses on an area of social justice such as: Children & Young People, Displaced People, Food Insecurity, Environment, Financial Insecurity, Mental Health, Modern Slavery, Social Isolation.
We come together to share learning and resources, to equip you to take your next set in social action. These sessions also provide opportunities to build relationships with social activists working within the area covered by the Diocese of Liverpool.
Previous sessions have included: Money Help Hub - with Lisa Broom of The Just Finance Foundation; Community Housing - with Paul Kelly of Community Led Housing; Breaking County Lines - with resources from the Clewer Initiative.
Networking events: We partner with Liverpool Catalyst to host regular in-person Network of Kindness networking events. Past speakers have included Ruth Holgate, Director of St Beuno’s Jesuit Spirituality Centre in North Wales, for a session about Sustaining Spirituality on social action.
Meet the Funders: Our regular Meet the Funders sessions are exclusive to Network of Kindness members only. Through these members can access the expertise of funders with past sessions featuring the National Lottery, and Benefact Trust.
Cost of Living Assemblies: We host Cost of Living Assemblies for social activists across the Diocese of Liverpool area. Read about our last Assembly when guest speaker Gareth McNab, Head of External Affairs for Christians Against Poverty (CAPUK), spoke about the new Let’s End Poverty movement.
