Become a Member

By becoming a Network of Kindness member, you join a growing movement empowering individuals, faith and community groups, to take their next step in social action. Together we make a positive impact, and uplift those in need.

Open to All

Anyone engaged in social action in the Diocese of Liverpool area is welcome to apply to join the Network of Kindness for free. Our doors are open to individuals, organisations, charities, churches, faith groups, and non-faith groups alike.

Our work reaches communities across the geographical area covered by our diocese including: Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens, Halton, Warrington, Wigan, West Lancashire and Liverpool.

How We Support You

Through the Network of Kindness, we offer:

• Free workshops, training, and events.
• Networking opportunities.
• Resources to facilitate relationship-building and knowledge-sharing.
• Support in addressing various social justice issues

Resources and Engagement

As a member, you'll also gain access to additional benefits:

• Regular "Meet The Funders" sessions for valuable grant insights.
• Opportunities like our Feast of Fun small grants scheme for churches.
• Forums to share your story, and amplify your voice.

Our Vision and Values

Our vision is for a just, equal and generous society where people are empowered to live life to the full, free from poverty and injustice. Our work is rooted in the values of kindness, generosity, and unconditional acts of love.

Guiding Principles

As members of the Network of Kindness, we uphold the following core principles:

• Listening: Amplifying the voices of those who have experienced injustice.
• Connecting: Building partnerships with like-minded individuals and organisations.
• Equipping: Sharing knowledge and resources to support social action endeavours.
• Campaigning: Collaborating to address the root causes of poverty and injustice.

Membership Categories

Choose from three membership categories:

• Champion: Individuals involved in social action.
• Project: Social action initiatives led by groups, organisations or individuals.
• Hub: Groups or organisations hosting more than one project.

Each project or hub must have a Champion attached to it, so if you apply to become either a Project or Hub you'll also be directed to become a Champion as well.
