Together Liverpool March newsletter

In our March newsletter we are delighted to share with you our Feast of Fun at Home Impact Report celebrating the bigger difference made by 24 churches who took part in this social action thanks to our small grants funding. We are excited to be offering this again in the summer, so please watch this space for updates.

We continue to be inspired by how church-led kitchens, pantries and foodbanks are providing a lifeline for many experiencing food insecurity amid the pandemic. The work of St George's Pantry in Everton and Knowsley Kitchen were highlighted in this article by the Telegraph this week.

We encourage you to keep sharing stories of your social action, and also tune into Radio 2 this Good Friday as our Food Insecurity Lead Executive Naomi Maynard is interviewed about pantries, community and faith. The At The Foot Of The Cross programme will be broadcast on Friday 2nd April at 7pm. You will also be able to listen again afterwards on BBC Sounds.

We are also blessed to introduce you to our new Social Action Lead Officer Kate Eaglestone who is busy meeting with church leaders to talk about how we can support with social action.

We also invite you to attend and share our next Covid Cash Course running on Thursday April 29; we bring you news of an Easter Fundraising opportunity as part of our new partnership with on-line food donation platform Bankuet; an invite to the Trussell Trust's Big Church Leaders' Breakfast; and details of Steps to Recovery support for faith organisations from Civil Society Consulting CIC.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement as we continue to work with churches to support social action across the Diocese of Liverpool, and we wish you a peaceful Easter.
