September news bulletin

Over the last few weeks I have been reminded of the importance of surrounding myself with different voices, people who see the world, its challenges and their potential solutions, from another side of the kaleidoscope. In my role, leading our hunger and food insecurity work, this has meant listening to the experiences of those who have been hungry this summer alongside those working in big business, farming, the council and voluntary sector.

This month’s newsbulletin encourages us to encounter voices who may be different from us, from Ellen's book launch where we will hear how activism is understood and lived out in a whole host of ways, to a radio play with women from Adelaide House Female Approved Premises. We also offer two courses to support you to look out for the more hidden voices, of those in financial crisis and victims of modern slavery.

Finally, we want to let you know about an opportunity to join our growing team as we seek to appoint our second of three new roles. Do pass this job advert – along with a word of encouragement – onto someone who may be right for this role.
