Meet the Funders workshop: John Moores Foundation

Posted on

Learn top tips for applying for grants, with funders the John Moores Foundation.

This online lunchtime session on Thursday, May 21st 2026 will provide Network of Kindness members with the knowledge they need to apply for funding from the John Moores Foundation.

The John Moores Foundation is a registered charity established in 1964 that supports small, local, grass-roots organisations. It funds charitable projects that help people facing social, economic, cultural or other disadvantage to come together, build confidence and improve their quality of life.

The Foundation prioritises smaller community-led initiatives working with people experiencing poverty, isolation, discrimination or other barriers, and typically supports running costs, salaries, training, capacity building and direct project costs.

This is an excellent opportunity to hear directly from the John Moores Foundation about available funding, their priorities, and how your group can make the most of grant opportunities.

Whether your group is interested in community development, social action, or other initiatives, this session will equip you with the information and confidence to approach funding applications.

The workshop will be hosted by Together Liverpool’s CEO Rev. James Green, who will facilitate a conversation with Lenka Vidamour – Grants Director at the John Moores Foundation.

Together, they will share insights on navigating the funding process and unlocking resources to support your projects.

Rev. James said: “I’m really pleased we’re creating this opportunity for Network of Kindness members to hear directly from the John Moores Foundation. For many faith and community groups, funding can feel hard to access, even when the work they’re doing is making a real difference. This workshop is about building confidence, strengthening applications, and helping local groups connect their vision with the support they need to grow their impact.”
