About the Network of Kindness

We launched our National Lottery funded Network of Kindness initiative in April 2021, to support the growth of inclusive activities serving all members of the community, particularly the most socially vulnerable.

Through this we provide workshops, training, events, networking opportunities, resources and grant funding, to support the development of projects tackling poverty and injustice.

We are always welcoming new Network of Kindness members, and actively seeking new partners and funders to enrich the groups we work with.

Our work covers the areas of food and financial insecurity, modern slavery, displaced people, children & young people, housing & land, environmental causes, mental health and social isolation.

Our Activities

Our Vision and Values

Our vision at Together Liverpool is for a just, equal and generous society where people are empowered to live life to the full, free from poverty and injustice. We focus on the needs of most marginalised and seek to tackle the most prevalent through the building up of community networks.

Our work is rooted in the values of kindness, generosity and unconditional acts of love. Through these values we promote justice and show peace to others. For us kindness isn’t just ‘added value’ it is at the heart of everything we do and is what connects us to each other.

Our Story

Together Liverpool was launched in 2013 as a joint venture between the Diocese of Liverpool and the Church Urban Fund, and both organisations remain our Directors. We are part of a UK-wide network of 15 Together Network charities that strive to tackle poverty and transform communities.

During the pandemic we pivoted to focus on projects tackling food and financial insecurity, in response to the urgent impacts of the crisis, with funding from the National Lottery Covid-19 fund, Liverpool City Region Cares, the Raft Foundation, Joseph Rank Trust and Albert Gubay Foundation.

Our Network of Kindness initiative launched in April 2021 is funded by the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.

Other funders generously supporting our activities over the last three years include the Diocese of Liverpool, Feeding Britain, The Albert Gubay Foundation, Joseph Rank Trust, Meals & More, Liverpool Diocesan Council for Social Aid (LDCSA), and more.
