Welcoming Fran - Faith in the City Lead Development Officer
We are delighted to welcome Fran D’Arcy to the Together Liverpool team as Faith in the City Lead Development Officer for our region.
Fran will deliver a project to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Faith In the City report, in partnership with Churches Together in the Merseyside Region (CTMR).
As part of this commemoration, Fran’s work will help raise awareness of the historic and ongoing contributions of faith groups across Liverpool City Region, including:
- Reflecting on the impact of Faith in the City over the past 40 years
- Organising events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Faith in the City report
- Developing and promoting a new Vision for the City manifesto
- Strengthening relationships and dialogue between faith and civic leaders

Fran brings a wealth of experience in fundraising and community engagement to her role.
Previously Fundraising Officer at Nugent, Fran is currently also Fundraising & Communications Manager at SWAN Women’s Centre in Litherland. She is also training to become a Blue Badge Tourist Guide for the Liverpool City Region, reflecting her deep love for the city’s history and architecture.
We are thrilled to have Fran join us and look forward to the positive impact her work will have on our region.
Fran is actively engaging faith groups across the Liverpool City Region, including those in Together Liverpool’s Network of Kindness and the CTMR network.
Her passion for supporting charitable causes began at a young age. By 18, Fran had raised £60,000 for organisations such as Claire House Children’s Hospice, Marie Curie Cancer Care, and Zoe’s Place. She was awarded the Diana Award at 15 for her fundraising efforts and returned as a judge for the award in 2024 to recognise young people’s achievements in social action and humanitarian work.
Fran’s professional fundraising career includes roles with Alzheimer’s Society, where she organised the first Memory Walk at Aintree Racecourse, and Nugent, where she co-created the successful Strictly Nugent event. She also worked as a community fundraising manager for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, supporting the campaign for Liverpool’s new Clatterbridge Cancer Hospital.
We are thrilled to have Fran join us and look forward to the positive impact her work will have on our region. Read more about our Faith in the City project in our Q&A with Fran.
Fran looks forward to collaborating with churches, civic leaders, and communities on this vital work. Please keep Fran and her efforts in your prayers as she helps shape a brighter future for faith in the city.
