Towards the Common Good - with Jenny Sinclair
What happens when we slow down, share a meal, and talk honestly about the world we live in?
This autumn, Together Liverpool is inviting you to do just that. Across three evenings, we’ll be joined by Jenny Sinclair, founder and Director of Together for the Common Good, for a series of conversations exploring faith, work and civic life.
Jenny, who recently delivered the 2025 Micah Lecture at Liverpool Cathedral, has spent years helping churches and communities discern how to read the “signs of the times” and live out their faith for the common good. These evenings offer a chance to reflect, discuss, and imagine a more hopeful public life together.
Hosted at St Cleopas Church in Toxteth, each session begins with a shared meal before Jenny introduces the evening’s theme. Around the dinner table, we’ll then take time to talk, listen, and explore practical ways to live out solidarity and friendship in our own communities.
The three evenings
-
Reading the Signs: Where Are We, Really? – Tuesday 30 September
Take an honest look at today’s social landscape, guided by Catholic Social Thought. -
From Charity to Solidarity – Thursday 30 October

A Story of Communion – Thursday 27 November
Imagine a local economy rooted in friendship, shared flourishing, and collective wellbeing.
