Our storytelling series celebrates how people across the Network of Kindness put love into action in their communities.
Through Stories of Kindness, we shine a light on everyday acts of kindness, introducing individuals, groups, and people with experience of injustice, working together to build a more just, generous and equal society.
Through these stories you’ll meet volunteers, faith leaders, community groups and those with first hand experience – all finding creative ways to share hope and make a real difference. We hope their stories inspire others to share kindness and spread hope.
Place of Welcome Café – Norris Green
The Place of Welcome community café at Christ Church Norris Green provides a warm, safe, and friendly space where people of all ages can come together to share food and friendship.
Run by local charity Triple C (Liverpool), the café is much more than a place to eat — it’s a vital hub for tackling loneliness and building connections within the neighbourhood.
Guests and volunteers alike describe it as a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Through conversations and shared meals, the café fosters a sense of belonging that reaches beyond generations and backgrounds.
Young families find a safe space for their toddlers to play, older residents enjoy companionship, and volunteers experience the joy of giving back.
Together, they create a community that nurtures hope and kindness, proving that simple acts of sharing food and company can transform lives.

When you are in a small project, it feels really good to connect with other people doing similar things. It’s connected us with funding too; the Meet the Funders event with the Benefact Trust was amazing and really useful.”
