We’re supporting people at every stage of their social action journey.
Through our Network of Kindness workshops and events, we bring together individuals, faith and community groups to share ideas, build skills, and spark new possibilities.
Whether you’re taking your first step or growing existing work, each session offers practical tools, fresh inspiration, and valuable connections to help you make a difference.

Who can attend Network of Kindness workshops and events?
Our sessions are open to individuals, churches, faith groups, and community organisations of all faiths and none. If you’re passionate about making a positive difference, you’re welcome.
What topics do you cover?
Each workshop focuses on a key social justice issue or practical skill for community action. Past topics have included trauma-informed practice, community housing, tackling county lines, money advice, and discernment for decision-making.
The areas of social justice we cover include: food and financial insecurity, modern slavery, displaced people, children & young people, housing & land, environmental causes, mental health and social isolation.
Do I need any previous experience of social action?
No. Whether you’re just starting out or building on years of experience, our sessions are designed to meet you where you are and help you take your next step.
What makes these events different?
We combine practical learning with opportunities to connect, collaborate, and share experiences. You’ll leave with new ideas, resources, and relationships to strengthen your work.
Are the sessions in person or on-line?
Each session is unique. We partner with a range of speakers, organisations, groups, and venues to deliver events in different ways. Some are in person, sometimes with food provided; others are online for easy access.
Do the sessions cost anything?
Most are free to attend, though some may involve a nominal fee or suggested donation to help cover costs such as venue hire and food. Any charges will always be clearly listed when booking.
What is ‘Meet the Funders’?
Exclusive to Network of Kindness members, these sessions give you direct access to grant-giving organisations. You’ll hear from funders like the National Lottery and Benefact Trust, and get practical advice for successful applications.

“One of the best, most succinct, and accessible trainings I’ve attended. It was exceptional. There was a really diverse group – clergy, laypeople, secular voices, all bringing different perspectives. The Network of Kindness gathers a breadth of people to focus on social justice, which is really lovely to see.”
